CCC China Compulsory Certification
CCC China Compulsory Certification
CCC certification also called compulsory product certification system, is a system that the Chinese government has implemented to protect consumers' personal safety and national security, strengthen product quality management, and implement laws and regulations. The China Compulsory Certificate mark, known as a CCC Mark, is a compulsory safety mark for many products imported, sold or used in the Chinese market. It is not a quality mark, only a basic safety certification.
The current "CCC" certification marks are divided into four categories:
1. CCC+S safety certification mark;
2. CCC+EMC electromagnetic compatibility certification mark;
3. CCC+S&E safety and electromagnetic compatibility certification mark;
4. CCC+F fire certification mark;
CCC certification is short for China's compulsory product certification. The main contents are summarized in the following aspects:
(1) Based on WTO agreements and international rules, the state implements a unified compulsory product certification system for products that involve human health and safety, animal and plant life safety and health, and environmental protection and public safety. The National Certification and Accreditation Regulatory Commission is responsible for the management and organization of the national mandatory product certification system.
(2) The main characteristics of the national compulsory product certification system are that the country publishes a unified catalogue, determines the uniform applicable national standards, technical rules and implementation procedures, and formulates a unified logo designation. All products listed in the compulsory product certification list must be certified by the certification body designated by the state, and relevant certificates and certification marks must be issued before they can be shipped, imported, sold, and used in the business service place.
(III) According to WTO commitments and the principle of embodying national treatment, there were 138 products covered by the original two systems. The “Catalogue” announced this time deleted the medical ultrasonic diagnostic and therapeutic equipment originally included in the compulsory certification management, etc. 16 kinds of products, including 10 types of safety glass for construction, were added, and a total of 132 kinds of compulsory certification products listed in the Catalogue.
(d) The government uses a unified mark for mandatory product certification named China Compulsory Certification shortly for 3C mark which replaced the original "Great Wall" logo and "CCIB" logo.
(5) The compulsory product certification system was implemented on August 1, 2002, and the relevant certification body formally began accepting applications. The original product safety certification system and import safety quality licensing system have been abolished since August 1, 2003.

Mandatory product certification workflow:
1. The company send a request for consultation on compulsory product certification.
(1). Confirm whether the product is within the scope of the mandatory product certification and confirm the product implementation standard at the same time.
(2). Confirm the unit division of the product.
(3). Confirm the sample delivery requirements.
2. The company applies for and uploads application materials at the CQC, selects the laboratory, and the CQC accepts the application.
3. The company prepares samples and application materials according to sample notification then send to laboratory.
4. After we confirmed the integrity of the sample, we will send the "flow order" to the laboratory. Then the sample will be send to specific inspection engineer in the lab.
Engineers verify the following data for completeness and accuracy:
(1). Application (signature required).
(2). Business license, organization code certificate.
(3). List of key components (paper/electronic files).
(4). Relevant statements (such as ground screw material, coating thickness, PCB board declaration, etc.).
(5). Sample description or product difference description.
(6). Cover model related information (if any).
5. Testing engineers issue test reports on time according to product standards.
6. The senior engineer will check the report.
7. Test report printing (including general report, safety type test report and electromagnetic compatibility report).
8. The report will be checked again. (double check).
9. The report will be issued, and the electronic version of the report signed and sealed will be sent.
10. Follow-up on the reports submitted to the Certification Body (CQC) until the certification is completed.
